As we get older, we tend to lose our sense of enthusiasm and playfulness. Our childlike imagination to have fun in the simplest of ways, fades with time. This painting serves to remind us never to lose the qualities in our lives.

I am inspired by humour and positivity. In common everyday objects and life, as seen through a childlike naive point of view.

I am transformed by the colour and shapes used by artists such as Marc Chagall, Henri Rousseau and Freda Khalo. How simple forms and shapes can tell wonderful stories.

I want my paintings to evoke a sense of joy and positivity in amongst a snippet of a story that speaks to the viewer.
