About Hannes
As a young boy in Germany I was fascinated by the Zulu artefacts that my uncle, a ship's captain, brought back for me from South Africa. I was determined to go to SA.
When I finished school I found a position on the mines in Rustenberg and worked my way up. But art was my passion and I was able to study and become a full time artist.
Much Later on my daughter took over the marketing of my works.
Hannes died quietly at home in Randburg at the age of 79 in 2006.
