Ben was born in 1955 and raised in the Northern Free State, South Africa. From a very young age,he exhibited an interest for fine arts. Illustrating nature and above all human astonishment in front of nature has always been his great interest since childhood.He is an extremely gifted artist whose natural talents lead him in many directions. He varies his landscapes in colour and style and therefore his work always gives you something different. His love and knowledge of the bushveld and animals is also reflected / captured in his portrayal of cheetahs,lions and the big five. His paintings are now in Australia, Canada, the USA and Europe.
