About "Abundance of Life"

Rose flower is an emblem of beauty and innocence.I love to paint Roses,especially white pink Roses in their magnificent glory and abundance while still attached to their Vine. I was born in the day of Rose in Finland and hence my loving earthly father used to call me his Rose as I could do nothing wrong in his eyes.As I was so precious to him, now as a believer also my Heavenly Father often speaks to my heart using the same symbolism of roses to express His love and impress His promises for me.

About Anne Maria

Anne Maria Hansen, painting under the name of Valimaki (maiden name from Finland) moved to sunny South Africa after graduating as an engineer. This beautiful country has been her home for over 30 years.
As a born again Christian Anne Maria paints for the glory of God.
After a ten year break in 2004 she made her bold return to the palette, splashing sumptuous strokes with renewed energy and breathless passion that has become her trademark.
The unlikely colors and textures of dreams and the landscapes of the Namaqualand come together in a portfolio that expresses the ravishing beauty and thrill of a desert wakening.
Isaiah 35: "And the dry land shall rejoice and blossom" has always been the source of her inspiration.
The appeal of Anne Maria's art lies in its disdain for precision and proportion and in the guileless naivety that works like strawberries and cream for the eyes and shouts CELEBRATE!
