I studied Entertainment Technology in Pretoria and did my degree in 2003 with my dissertation focusing on the emotional effect of colour on people. The use of bright colours in impasto gives me a feeling of freedom and this is often portrayed in my work. My paintings resemble memories and experiences from my milieu. I choose to use simplistic themes of everyday life in an abstract way. My preferred media is oil paintings, but sometimes acrylic on canvas.
