About "African Battlefields 2" I work as a freelance safari guide and in my work I am constantly confronted with the daily battles on African soil. As the theme of the big five is a bit over commercialized, I decided that when I do the big five you will see that it is a painting and not a photograph. My composition of the animals and landscape is thus more expressionistic than realistic. I also inserted the African sunset which I view as my trademark in most of my paintings. Also my love for the Sundaneses camel phobia trees almost compelled me to add this little sunset scene in my painting.This is how this painting used to look and if you prefer this version of it, it can be altered back to its original form. |
