Reference Figure About "African Lady" The shadows and the interesting formation there of on the white wall and the simplicity inspired me. This is an image of a lady who has been working for as for thirty one years and she is like a second mother to me. Her name is Linah Ntombela. The picture was taken in Stillbay at our holiday home in December 2007. The walls are white chalk and the whole image appeared very traditional. |

As an artist Im inspired by the effect of light on objects and environments.[0xD][0xA]I graduated from university in 1993. Was a full time lecturer at Bloemfontein technikon in object and figure drawing 1997-2001. Thereafter I studied webdesign in Cape Town at Hirt and Carter and worked at Cloverleaf candles as designer.I was a full time arts and culture teacher at Campsbay High in CapeTown during the course of 2003. In 2004 I moved to Bethal in Mpumalanga where I started practicing as a professional artist and I give art classes on a daily basis.[0xD][0xA]I exhibited at numerous galleries.
