Reference Acrylic 4 About "Aloes" This is not a botanical illustration, but my painting was inspired by the beautiful Karoo aloe, also known as "bitter aloe". These plants can be found across South Africa, from the east to the west and can get up to 5m tall. Some medicinal products are made from this plant. More than 500 aloe species are found across the world, from which 120 species are found in South Africa. |
