About "Amber Waters" Working en plein air amid public gaze was necessary to capture this lovely spot, instead of taking a hurried photo and dashing back to my studio to complete it! The spontaneity of it all was challenging. The bright sun pierced the dense overhanging forest, sparkled and shone on the water and stones in the shallow pool. The bobbing row-boats (gratefully acknowledged) inspiration from Monet and La Grenouillere!! |
