About Nico
Graphic designer, photographer and painter. He has for the past 40 years run a design and advertising studio specialising in graphic design, exhibition design and photography and for many years has taught traditional and digital graphic design.
He has produced many multi-image shows and has won many awards for his exhibition designs displayed in Paris, London, Dubai and South Africa.
Inspired after a visit to Greece and Cyprus (birthplace of his parents) many of his paintings reflect the Greek themes of his experiences. His passion for painting has produced majestic images in the gold and blues of the Greek islands. His paintings of stylised Greek churches are much in demand while his special interests lie in the icons and images of the Byzantine Period in both the Greek and Russian styles.
His Old Master series features copies of works by William Bouguereau, Caravaggio, Jean-Leon Gerome and Ludwig Deutsch. His copy of "The Garden of Earthly Delights" central panel by Hieronymus Bosch is at the moment a work in progress. His Old Master paintings often include a modern contemporary element bringing the paintings into the 21 Century.
