About Renee

Art is a form of communication, and through my impressionistic style of painting I wish to convey a feeling of well-being to the viewer. I use bright, clean colours to emphasise the effect of light and shade.

I studied painting under Pieter Millard, Mimi vd Merwe and Andre Naude, and sculpting under Eben Germishuys.

In 2009, I received the first prize for Conceptual Art, and in 2007 the merit prize for Painting, at the "Artist of the Year" exibitions of the Centurion Association of Arts.
