As God is glorious so is His creation.When I look at the blossoming bougainvillea bush I see such rich abundance.Abundance of God's glory.Abundance of God's love.Abundance of God's beauty.Abundance of God's provision.Interesting that what appear to be flowers in a bougainvillea are not flowers at all but large bright-coloured bracts almost concealing minute flowers.

About Anne Maria

Anne Maria Hansen, painting under the name of Valimaki (maiden name from Finland) moved to sunny South Africa after graduating as an engineer. This beautiful country has been her home for over 30 years.
As a born again Christian Anne Maria paints for the glory of God.
After a ten year break in 2004 she made her bold return to the palette, splashing sumptuous strokes with renewed energy and breathless passion that has become her trademark.
The unlikely colors and textures of dreams and the landscapes of the Namaqualand come together in a portfolio that expresses the ravishing beauty and thrill of a desert wakening.
Isaiah 35: "And the dry land shall rejoice and blossom" has always been the source of her inspiration.
The appeal of Anne Maria's art lies in its disdain for precision and proportion and in the guileless naivety that works like strawberries and cream for the eyes and shouts CELEBRATE!
