About "Buffalo"

They have thick necks, massive bodies and short, powerful limbs, and form part of the "Big Five" in South Africa. Their horns, sought after by hunters, grow from thick, wrinkled bosses on the forehead, flare sideways and downwards and then curve upwards to the tips. What a stunning animal.

About Rina

The world is a canvas - paint on! This is the words my parents always said when I did not know what to do with myself. I am a born and bred South African, This land and its inhabitants is what inspired me most. I consider myself so blessed to live in a country with a rainbow of cultures.

I studied psychology after I matriculated. I however found myself embedded in the corporate world most of my working life.
I treasure various forms of art; I love sketching, painting, handcraft and many other art craft. In painting I treasure humankind. I love portraits of people but also nature.

I love warmth and tend to dramatise in my artwork. This is so because I love life. I am here for the giving and wish to share my paintings with you so that one day when I am gone, a piece of me is left behind as witness to my being on earth.
