About "Burning leaves"
the smoke moving over the lane and in front of the sun, gave a mystical atmosphere that had to be captured.

About Desmond
The play of light and shadow on the subjects that I paint appeals to me. Where light project contrasting deep shadows and the way it falls in and around the subject matter facinate and inspires me. The back ground, the layout thereof and certain details are points that I look for when approaching a subject.
The paintings predict a sence of calm and an experience on a personal level.
