About "Cape Dutch House in Field"

I painted this painting while living in Johannesburg for so many years and dreaming of the Cape country and little wine farms. This was my first Cape Dutch painting .
As I was painting the final little details, a ray of light shone through a window and landed across my stormy sky. I just had to paint it in.

I guess I feed and grow from happy thoughts. I am pretty much self taught and always looking to learn something new. I have painted murals for quite a few years but love oil on canvas and mixed media. What inspires me. - God's paintbrush is everywhere! If only I could capture just a glimpse of his incredible glory. What I enjoy - lying under a blanket of stars, diving through the waves, sinking my feet in wet sand, roller-coasters, laughter, Christmas morning, beautiful friends, my treasured family. This space is to short so hopefully my paintings will express the rest.
