The fence follows the path into the mountains leading the eye to the distance. Each fence pole driven into the soil by some long forgotten person labouring under the sun brings a sense of nostalgia to the painting.

About Toy

Armed with art credits from Wits University, Toy obtained her BA (Arts) from UNISA. She entered the advertising industry to spend 16 years in this creative and dynamic environment. During this time she studied under Peter Millard honing her artistic skills. Currently she studies under Celeste Mere producing many works of great skill.

Numerous commissions enabled her to open an art studio specializing in the re-awakening of creativity in our TV and computer game dulled children. Combining play, art history and creativity she delights in the glow of achievement visible in the kids as they proudly display treasures made from everyday items.

Her paintings are true to life, with the subjects threatening to walk from the canvasses. Recent commissions include wildlife and landscapes, portraits and still life studies demonstrating her artistic versatility.
