About "Circle of Life" I wanted to paint a trip-triptych and I was reading a lot about the backgrounds of the Khoikhoi people and the rock-paintings. Nothing in mind, I painted a yellow, red and blue panel - trying to keep it a unity. And suddenly, due to the glued paper on the panels all kind of bushmen men came in view. The panel on the left hand side depicts birth and the early years in life. |
