About "Cleaning Fish"

My love for the Cape Coloured people and their culture as well as my sympathy with the fishermen and their families with the cutting of quotas, prompted me to create this work. There's a despondency, yet proudness in the posture of the mother, cleaning maybe the only food she has for her child.
