About Elca

I live on a farm in the Swellendam area, on the border of the Klein Karoo and the Overberg where I grew up.
The priviledge of being part of our planet, especially here where God planted me, inspires me to put a fraction of it on canvas, each work being a special experience from within...Godsent.As a nature lover I'm always observing through an artist's eye, my camera always close at hand.Creativity is an important part of my wellbeing.My home is filled with flowers, dried branches and bark, with vegetables from our crop and fruits as part of my interior decor. Even stones fill a special place in my heart...and home.
I had no formal art training but was fortunate to have Anne de Goede (see elsewhere on this site) in town to help me develop, inspire and motivate me.
