Reference 35 About "Cosmos Fields" I travelled from place to place in the Free State, South Africa. During one of my trips between Bloemfontein and Maluti Mountains, I visited a private farm on which the owners grow fields of cosmos flowers. The owners of the farm like the old steam locomotives and old trains. Some of them are still in working conditions. The steam locomotives remind me of my childhood when the trains with such locomotives were the main mean of transport. I painted the cosmos fields, draw the train and composed the painting. It was a reasonable amount of work to complete the train. The cosmos fields and the distant buildings of the farm form a beautiful landscape. Approximately 5000 gemstones. |
