About Stephan

Stephan Van Heerden

As a young boy I already dreamed of painting like Vladimir Tretchikoff one day. I do not have any formal education in art. Painting was my main pastime during my childhood, partly since I was able to enter a magic world with a paintbrush and paint where I was able to establish contact with others. At the age of 12, I started selling paintings. Most of my themes relate to emotions I have experienced. I am a Social Worker and Gestalt therapist by profession. Painting is my gift from God to nurture my soul. I trust that the owners of my work will experience the same love, compassion, and peace, I have found in my own work.
