About "Diving Gannets I"

I have a great appreciation for the sea and what lies beneath it.
The creatures that co-exist underwater, some of which we know of, and some still a mystery, inspires me to bring to the surface magical scenes under the deep blue. The photograph that I used to paint this from was kindly provided by Morne Hardenberg (underwater diver). I am in awe that these birds that live on land can be underwater long enough to catch a great meal.
