About "Do I think too mush?"

The children in my new sieries of ink and bleach works are people I know, love and relate to. I expressively painted cute photos of my friends, family and self playing around when we were little (about 1 to 5 years).
It was fun, I felt like I was playing, and it makes them happy to see themselves playing and looking happy.
Why do children play? Is it just a simple, harmless way of passing the time, of keeping them happily employed so that they do not interfere unduly with the important business of adult living? Does play any real significance for them? It is an activity which is concerned with the whole of their being, not with just one small part of them, and to deny the right to play is to deny the right to live and grow.

This work takes a look at the passion, love and happiness that we create and that we so often admire in children. As well as learning to know more about inspiration and motivation in the hope of finding purpose and meaning. Getting passionate, celebrating life and always learning more is much of what this work is about. Dr. Brian Sutton-Smith said “The opposite of play isn't work, it's depression.”

In my previous research I have looked at matters of spirituality and believing, matters of culture, talent and health and how they relate to art and passion. The passion, love and happiness that we create and that we so often admirer in children. Looking at learning to know more about inspiration and motivation in the hope of finding purpose and meaning.
Getting passionate, celebrating life and always learning more is much of what my art is about.
