About "Donkey Cart - Bredasdorp"

I sketched this donkey cart crossing a low level bridge on their way home from doing their weekly shopping: 'Oom Tassies' (boxed wine), bread flour and a flat crowned pumpkin, against a backdrop of mountains and a distant homestead. The feel was so quaint and homely and the light quirky.

I am inspired by the world around me. I love children and animals. My favourite genre is wildlife, but I also do self chosen portrait studies, landscapes, seascapes and general beach scenes with children and adults. I also do a lot of photography, jewellery making, pottery and hot glass works.
