About "Drakensberg Rural I"

The Majesty of the Mountains has always fascinated me, and has inspired much of my work, providing a perfect backdrop and subject material, for me to create 3-dimensional artpieces which incorporate sculpture. Also an inspiration to me, is the simplicity of rural life in the beautiful Drakensberg, South Africa.This particular piece was commissioned for the commemoration and celebration of a Hotel in the Drakensberg. The Bushman 'Paintings' in the sky are to acknowledge that The Drakensberg Range of Mountains and the surrounding area is an Internationally recognised Heritage site of the Bushman.If commissioned it could be produced in approximately 4 weeks. It is built into a frame.
