About "Eclipse"

So it appears that 2018 is my year of Space Exploration...
The idea for "Eclipse" came to me while I was working on the painting of Saturn's moon, Enceladus, preceded by "sun" and "Nebula in Green". As ideas go I wasn't expecting it to hang around forever, especially after my brief return to earth to execute the Artwork, "Moederstad," commissioned by Helderberg Insurance Brokers and paying homage to our Fairest Cape.
And yet, as I washed the last brush and contemplated my next Creative excursion, there it was, like an over-excited puppy at the front gate, eagerly awaiting my return.
I have to admit that, despite the excitement and anticipation of combining the chaos of splashing with the clean structure of Geometry, what really pushed me over the Creative edge was the Phonetic spelling of the word, Eclipse. It was short, it was bold, it was visually pleasing. It simply had to be done.
