About "Elephants"

I visited Zimbabwe a few years back. At Victoria Falls a female elephant walked right up to us. The reservist told us to just stand still, there was a baby behind her. This memory is precious and never to be forgotten. Hence my Elephants painting.

About Pamela

Johannesburg artist Pamela paints the vast skies and flora of Southern Africa that shaped her childhood. Self-taught with formal training and art taught with distinction, she now runs two thriving studios teaching with passion.

Her macro realistic floras - hydrangeas where petals cluster in light seem to hold their fragrance. She also creates mixed media abstracts and skyscapes where colour and light swirl in movement.

Driven by soul and the elusive quality of light, each work invites you to feel connected, to be part of the painting, not wanting to let it go.
