A marble version of "equus' series done in bronze. A new technique is experimented for the first time to gain a texture in the marble.

About Severino

Italian born, he resided in South Africa for over 40 years. Severino has an architectural background. Trained in Pietrasanta in 1982/83, and practicing full time sculpture in RSA and Italy. Exhibited in Europe and around South Africa. Specialized in marble carvings and bronze casting sculptures. Developed also a collection of miniature wildlife in limited edition. Ha was also producing some Art Furniture developed in a Modern Baroque style.
Severino lives now in URBINO, (Marche). He is semi-retired from producing sculptures due to his displacement from his studio after the 2016 hearth quake in central Italy. He has therefore directed his creativity on curating art exhibitions within Marche region and other cultural events. Also busy on new production of miniature Stainless steel cast EQUUS.
