Reference ER1 About "European Roller" This painting was done for a feature on Mediterranean birds in the British magazine, Birds Illustrated. I chose the European Roller because of its beautiful colours - it's definitely one of the more exotic species to be found in the Mediterranean. It's done in my signature style of the painted bird perched on a pencilled-in branch. |

I love wildlife and being in nature. I particularly love birds and am happiest when I'm in the middle of nowhere with a pair of binoculars in my hands. I would love to live out in the bush, but for now I'm living in the city, working as an illustrator and designer until I can fulfil my dream.
