Reference Evoluer About "Evolution of the Self" Evoluer was a love creation, between my love of woodcarving and glass blowing. The concept of evolution revolves around progress and this work threw it out of order. The normal hierarchy in evolution was reversed and on the right hand side a glass skull in a wire frame was mounted to look back at where we came from. If one stands in front of it we read the hierarchy of evolution from the final stage "us" backwards into history, as you'd read a book. The idea connected to this work is that we should never forget where we come from as individuals in our lives and that who we are at present is nothing more than a glass bubble, because events are constantly changing and 'moulding' each individual. It is also a choice each of us should make: Do you want to move backward or do you want to evolve into the next best step of you? |
