About "Eye On Giverny"

This painting was inspired by a drive out to Giverny where I visited the residence and gardens of Monet. It was a glorious feeling to be surrounded by so much beauty and contrast. The gardens and home decor are a pallette of wild colours and you can't help feeling frivolous. These beautiful black tulips stood out so sedately and elegantly amidst all this colour and wildness, and I could not help myself...I had to try and capture it!!! Whenever I look at this painting, I can still smell the gardens of Giverny and I am reminded of just how far I will travel to love and appreciate this wonderful world!!!
