Reference C1 About "Fertilization Mandala" This work was inspired by the cycles of life in a female body. The repetition of cycles form a pattern in our lives. So does the moon and sun. Mandala's show details of an ongoing force that are dictated to us by nature and "nature". The protective outer body of any living thing hides the process it's going through but our knowledge of the inner process causes wonder, curiosity and renewal. Lino gives a hard edge and is dictated by pattern and balance between the solid and the void. Textures, pattern and design are paramount to a successful lino print. |
