About "French Girl beside Bridge" The inspiration for this painting came from a photograph in a Terence Conrad book called France. I would like to think the river is the Seine in Paris. However it is obviously a city scene. The girl is in a serene relective mood which is also enhanced in the slow flowing river. The bridge is a classical old French design with no ornate decoration. The painting captures the slow pace of French lifestyle. |
