Reference D001 About "Golden Dancer" I wanted to do something else that was different from my other work. I love the colours in the painting with the negitive white background. It puts all the focus on the dancer. I used a special golden paint that I found to bring a surprise effect to the painting. When you look at the painting you don't see the gold immediately, but when you move and the way that the light in the room falls on the painting, some parts of the painting changes to gold. It lets the painting come alive. It is something that you have to see, to see the real beauty of this painting. The reason I called the painting the Golden Dancer is, because when the parts of the painting changes to gold it looks like she is dancing. I have a small video available that can show the effects of the gold. |
