About "Greed King has doubts"
Here we see the king looking rather sheepish.
He has suddenly realised how 'unsustainable' the political order has been.
He wanted it all - as big as it was - he wanted it all.
The flowers and in the vase are false, decayed.
The background is gloomy.

I am absolutely overwhelmed by the amount of truly amazing art out there....but it all comes from a european mind-set...my work challenges the entire concept of 'art' as it has been known...and rides roughshod over the expected norms. I do not apologise. My art is unique and without precedent.....it comes from a combination of myth, psyche, archetype and innovation drawn from life's many many influences...and has even amazed me with its portent...drawn from a deeply intuitive cognitive consciousness. We have so much more information as our source of inspiration amid a myriad of influences. To try and emulate what has GONE is, for me, the most futile endeavour imaginable....like trying to reshape the wheel. I am not a copy artist. I am an innovative artist. There was a time 1995 when I approached every single gallery in Gauteng searching for an exhibition space. All of them had a two year plus waiting list. But it was not until I approached a Gallery in the vicinity of the Market Square when the curator took out a book from New York and said to me: look at this....this is the type of art that will get you an exhibition. What is it that people find so difficult to understand? It is so sad that our 'cultural minders' constantly look BACKWARDS for similarities rather than FORWARDS for authenticity and relevance. And so it goes.....SA....the derivative mentality that is too afraid to know itself.
However it is important to note that for the three years that I lived in Europe, I hunted down every single art gallery in any of the towns that I passed through...from seeing and absorbing the real raw art originals...much of which surprised me from the 'not so glossy' magazine version: Hundertwasser, Klimt, Schiele, Picasso, Rembrandt, Kandinsky, Degas, Klee, Magritte, Dali, Warhol, van Gogh, etc etc etc...
