Reference houtbay 1 About "Houtbay" The sea has an amazing affect on me. I was standing on the beach watching the sea at Houtbay harbour. As the waves washed out on the beach it symbolised to me a washing of all the ugliness on this earth, and as the waves receded again it symbolised to me the removal of all the ugliness of life. So to me if i can describe it in one word i can only think of the word, purification. The mountain around the harbour symbolises safety and brings a sense of peace. |

I have been involved in arts & crafts for the last ten years. We run a family business teaching the lady's in our community how to do arts & crafts. My love for painting started when i first discovered fabric painting and the more i painted the more i wanted to explore. I eventually tried different mediums until i found my true love which is oil painting. I believe that we never stop learning and for that reason i still go to art classes in Durbanville. I am a belly dancer and i wanted to incorporate that part of myself in my paintings, so i enrolled at an Arabic art school. I am a free spirit and i am inspired by people and this wonderful world we live in! Price Range US$ 76-174 Exhibitions I run a craft shop and craft school with my family.
