About "Katrins Kiss"
Katrins Kiss referes to the devastaing hurricane which destroyed the city of New Orleans. There are fires, floods, an arragont and blameless succession of bigwigs and supplicating city fathers. Sea motifs sweirling waters as katrin kisses the Gulf reminding us that the world is suffereing a fever and we are at the center of it
I must admit that of late I am drawn to collages - found objects combined often in paradoxical with a satirical edge. few galleries this side of the Atlantc are partial to my sense of irony - so be it and as a consequence I am writing satirical pieces including plays, snippets untsoweiter . What inspires me ? Nature the awesome beauty and complex it yof the natural world in contrast to the pitiless stupidity and arrogance of our species. What does an Artist say when confronted with the real issues of today?
