Reference interiour, kitchen About "Kitchen Sink" This scene is from our holiday home in Stillbay. I enjoyed the rugged look of the uneven taps against the pure glass shapes as the light shines through it aswell as the repeated pattern of the curtains. The reflections of the sink on the pot was a challenge to obtain. The warmth of these reflections are what makes this painting succesfull. |

As an artist Im inspired by the effect of light on objects and environments.[0xD][0xA]I graduated from university in 1993. Was a full time lecturer at Bloemfontein technikon in object and figure drawing 1997-2001. Thereafter I studied webdesign in Cape Town at Hirt and Carter and worked at Cloverleaf candles as designer.I was a full time arts and culture teacher at Campsbay High in CapeTown during the course of 2003. In 2004 I moved to Bethal in Mpumalanga where I started practicing as a professional artist and I give art classes on a daily basis.[0xD][0xA]I exhibited at numerous galleries.
