Reference interiour, light About "Kitchen Utensils" This is a scene were very strong light enters the painting from the left. It is almost blinding and the shape of some objects starts to deteriorate. This is contrasted with the dark right handside and therefor the work becomes very effective. Everyday objects for example the salt pot is used and therefor these objects with the reflections take on a new meaning. |

As an artist Im inspired by the effect of light on objects and environments.[0xD][0xA]I graduated from university in 1993. Was a full time lecturer at Bloemfontein technikon in object and figure drawing 1997-2001. Thereafter I studied webdesign in Cape Town at Hirt and Carter and worked at Cloverleaf candles as designer.I was a full time arts and culture teacher at Campsbay High in CapeTown during the course of 2003. In 2004 I moved to Bethal in Mpumalanga where I started practicing as a professional artist and I give art classes on a daily basis.[0xD][0xA]I exhibited at numerous galleries.
