About "Knysna Heads"

My son was suffering from deep depression. In desperation, I took him down to Plettenberg Bay on a camping holiday, in the middle of winter. We went to Knysna heads for a meal, and this Reubenesque photograph resulted. I had to paint it.

I love anything related to nature; something that is quiet, harmonious and beautiful. Sometimes I need to break out of the mould, though, and I create a piece that is thought-provoking.
