About Christa

NOLTE She was born on a farm near Hartbeespoortdam.
From an early age her father made het aware of the beautiful birdlife on the farm.
While still at school she has spent many hours watching their neighbour, Alexis Preller,
painting.
Self taught she has been painting birds for more than 40 years and only works in water colours.
Her works is included in many public and private collections in South Africa. She also has
clients that order on a regular basis in Canada, Germany and Australia.

Nature inspires me. I live on a small holding with the most wonderful bird life. My subjects are all around me every day.
