Information for Artists and Galleries

The site provides a free of charge listing service to all serious and professional artists based or originating in South Africa and to all Art Galleries who promote South African art.

As an Artist you have full control of uploading works, telling the world about yourself and what inspires and motivates you and also for the pricing of your work. We give you regular feedback on the content you have listed on the site and every artist has an opportunity to be featured on the home page at no charge.

Galleries have full control of uploading artist's works, providing background information about the gallery and setting the pricing of all work listed under the Gallery.

We make no charge for any of the listing services on the site.

What do I get?

As an artist or gallery you will get:

• A free listing about yourself including a photograph and biographical information
• Unlimited free listings of the art you have for sale
• Your own homepage at https://www.southafricanartists.com/home/<Your name>
• Your own email address as <Your.Name>@southafricanartists.com guaranteed to be virus and spam free
• New works listed featured on the site home page
• Alerts sent to buyers who have flagged you as one of their favorite artists every time you add new work
• The ability to market your works via eCards on the site
• A regular email report on all works you have listed with us
• A regular email newsletter with latest news, tips for marketing and other useful information
• Full support and assistance with maintaining your listings and making the most from the site

What do I do next?

If you are an ARTIST and would like to apply to be listed on the site please:

1. Create an email with the subject line Artist Application
2. Prepare digital images of 3 samples of your work and attach them to this email
3. Include in the body of the email your name, address and telephone number(s)
4. Send this email to

If you are a GALLERY and would like to apply to be listed on the site please:

1. Create an email with the subject line Gallery Application
2. Include in the body of the email the gallery name, address and telephone number(s) and a contact name
3. Send this email to

We will normally advise you within 24hrs if your application has been successful upon which you will receive a full information pack by return email and can be set up on the system within hours.
