Mara means bitterness, but even this intense emotion can be an act of worship if it is given to God and if we allow Him to turn our heartache into something beautiful. I just love this woman's face. She is a Himba from Namibia

About Marie

I am a youth pastor from Cape Town and currently busy doing an honors study in Psychology. I love people...the stories that their faces tell...the history in the eyes and the lines on their faces. To me, all these are faces of worship. even in the deepest sadness, there is hope and when we come out of hardship, we have a great story to tell. This is what my paintings are all about.
