About "Mindspell" This series of work explores the practice of head decoration. Using mask iconography and African hairstyles to investigate the "addressing of the head" I imply the laying of culture on the personality through ornamentation such as masks. The implication is that these decorative elements reveal an ambiguity through hiding behind masks. |
