About "Move Over Darling"

Sure thing! The artwork Move Over Darling is a burst of vibrant energy on canvas. It's a dynamic, abstract painting that really grabs your attention. The mix of smudges, strokes, and scribble-like marks creates a sense of movement and flow. The dominant colors, like shades of grey, white, teal blue, and pops of yellow, red, and green, give it a lively, almost playful vibe. You can almost see a floral motif emerge, with elements that look like flowers and foliage in a dreamy, impressionistic style. The textured background and loose, energetic lines in various colors, like orange and brown, add an exciting sense of chaos and movement. The brushwork feels so expressive and free, with thick, textured areas contrasting with more washed-out parts. This artwork really captures the feeling of natural, organic form, frozen in a moment of fluid transformation. It's like a burst of nature, frozen in time on canvas.

About Liz

Liz McQueen

I have no previous painting experience and only became involved with this wonderful world after retirement. I was fortunate enough to meet Estelle Hartley and to be taught by her for 6 years. Colour has always been my passion. I have had several successful exhibitions locally and have been a member of several Art Associations through the years and have served on several art committes . I have attended many workshops including those of Rose Eden and Don Andrews from the USA and Hazel Soan from Britain, locally workshops by Greg Kerr, Louis Audie, Deric van Rensburg, Bob MacKenzie, Cheryl Curnick and several others.
In 2012 I attended a workshop in Spain by Fabio Cembranelli. This year 2013 I have had a very successful exhibition in Bahrain.
Thanks to the support of Rob, my husband I am able to do this wonderful thing!
Painting is an act of creation and interpretation of subjects should be from the heart.
Edgar Whitney's quotation "Exactly right is all wrong" is my mantra.
