About Alida
My name is Alida Louw, and my creative journey began in 2008. I'm blessed to live on a farm in the wide, open spaces of the Karoo near Middelpos, a place that deeply feeds my soul and inspires everything I create.
Each piece I make is led by the Holy Spirit. I believe art carries a message of hope and light for those who seek it. Through my work, I share not only the natural beauty of the Karoo, but also the deep spiritual connection I have with the Lord.
With a love for colour and attention to detail, I create from the heart, whether it's portraits, flowers, landscapes or abstracts. I pour myself into subjects that move me, always aiming to bring warmth and meaning to others through my work.
Besides creating my own free pieces, I also enjoy doing commissions and collaborating with clients to create something personal and meaningful to them.
My work is a reflection of my faith and my love for people and nature. I mostly work in oil or acrylic, using my art as a gentle bridge between the physical and the spiritual, inviting others to find joy and upliftment in every brushstroke.
