About "Ntasuthi River - The Berg"

This is a piece of wilderness with it's unpolluted water and the freedom of abundant bird life. I found this scene in KZN to be a perfect natural composition for a landscape to be captured.

About El

Ella came from Germany to South Africa as a child in 1951 to live with relatives. She received her basic education in Johannesburg.
In the early 80's Ella started taking some art lessons on and off. She exhibited on occasions with the 'Artists under the Sun' at the Zoo Lake, selling some of her landscapes and still life paintings. Art had still remained a hobby during the 90's, running a B & B Guest House in Honeydew, plus a part-time accounting job. The Pool House Gallery, where guests enjoyed their breakfasts, had given exposure to her paintings. This had frequently lead to interesting commissions requested by guests.
During 2003, after 41 years, Ella and her family relocated to the beautiful Hartbeespoort valley to retire. Ella's favourite subjects are genuine well-known SA landscapes of the Drakensberg, Cape, Pilgrimsrest, specific waterfalls, marine life, interesting rock formations of the Cedarberg and Cango caves.
A question frequently asked: "How do you describe your art?" Ella's answer: "I prefer to leave the description to the viewer. However, my sincere aim is essentially, to capture any kind of beauty, which may touch the viewers emotions in some or other way. May I succeed!
