About Mandie

I grew up on a farm in Citrusdal, Western Cape. Nowadays I live on a sheep farm, outside Calvinia in the Northern Cape. I am a former primary school teacher, but in the last few years I discovered my real passion...painting (especially oil-painting). I usually use my own photographs to paint from - animals, landscapes, sunsets etc., things that are close to my heart.
I took up painting about 5 years ago and absolutely love it. I did three courses in oil painting, sold many of my paintings on the local market and am now ready to expand my horizons.
