I find inspiration in the world around me, yet sometimes the thing that inspires me the most is a blank canvas. It is pure, unprejudiced and I can shape it to become the world that I see in my mind’s eye. For me art is a form of expression and a way to convey an idea or opinion that otherwise might not have made such a lasting impression on people. I favor portraits because I believe that you can capture the essence of a person’s character in a single sketch.
