About Shekilah
THE PENGUIN LADY
Especially wellknown for her beautiful and affordable prints of the African penquins of Stony Point in Betty's Bay - of which she has sold prints all over the world. This is one theme series of many which is available in A3 & A4
WITH STICKS FROM THE SEA...
Shekilah’s Art is beautifull and unique in every way. She never uses brush or pallette knife when she does her "paintings". Her tools are rough items from the sea and her “paint” is not from a tube.
She uses light, colour and darkness in an extraordinary way to tell a story with every painting or drawing that she creates.
Although Shekilah’s was always very concious of the fact that she had a talent for fine art, she was also blessed with a beautifull voice and an intense love for music. After she left school she decided to study and pursue a career in music.
It was only in 2000 that she decided to start painting again. This time - different - in her very own style.
Not only is Shekilah unique like her art, but her deep rooted Spirituality and her unconditional love for her Maker also brings a special vibrancy to her work.
